Training Retreat FAQ:

About the event

Any Christian wanting more freedom in their lives and/or wanting to learn how to help others live in freedom from hurts and life controlling issues. This training retreat is for you if:

  • You may be someone that is or has struggled with an addiction and you want to address underlying triggers.
  • You may be someone that has gone through a divorce and you want to work on relationship issues.
  • You may be someone that had a difficult childhood and you want to remove the effects of that abuse or neglect.
  • You may be someone that sees a pattern of setbacks in your life and don’t understand why that is.
  • You may be someone that seemingly has a normal life, but there is a feeling of being disconnected or an ache in your heart that you don’t understand.
  • You may have health issues that stem from physical imbalances and emotional struggles.

Expect to receive solid scriptural-based Biblical teaching and science-based health information. There will be assessments to help you understand yourself and how the dynamics of life have affected you. There will be freedom exercises and proven techniques to help you overcome challenges and to defeat the real enemy. There are health assessments to help determine physical imbalances. There will be recommendations and prayers to undo spike proteins.

Your Bible and pen and paper if you want to take notes. A journal if you want for reflection, and a modest swimsuit and coverup if you are wanting to get baptized.

It is both. It serves both purposes. Whichever is your primary motivation for coming, you will probably experience new levels of freedom and be equipped to help others.

You will not be asked to share painful memories in front of a group. The ministers of the one-to-one sessions (if you desire) are allowing the Holy Spirit to lead the session, and you may be asked for specific prayer points to receive freedom in that area.

Yes, you will receive a manual of the teachings, exercises, assessments, surveys, and prayer declarations. All scripture is available to everyone according to the copyright of the publishers of the Bible they use. The material presented or provided in the manual of the Removing Darkness Training Retreat is proprietary intellectual property under copyright of the International Institute of Faith Based Counseling or the author. Copies are not allowed to be made or used without written permission.

The training retreat is about freedom and not a study in doctrines. No denomination is emphasized or defamed.

You do not have to do anything you do not feel comfortable with.

Yes, you will have the opportunity to meet privately with a two-person ministry team. There will be several opportunities throughout the retreat to receive prayer.

A two-person team will work with you to allow the Holy Spirit to lead the session. As you allow the Holy Spirit to bring forth memories or feelings, one ministry team member will take the lead to pray as the other team member can listen and take notes on areas to cover in prayer. Your initial application and surveys throughout will help the teams that are in prayer also.

Yes, there are some hiking trails near the river and you will have an opportunity for that.

It is only an option for those who desire it, and it would be in the river.

All the meals will be cooked and prepared on-site, and are actual meals, not fast food. We will have gluten & some allergy-free options available. Please get in contact with us if you need these options.

You should dress comfortable and casual.

Lodging

You will be sharing a room with other people of your own gender. There are some bedrooms available for married couples in a house with other people.

In order to foster relationships and maintain the focus of the event, all participants and the ministers/workers will be staying on site on the Friday night.

There are men and women’s bunkhouses and bathrooms that separate the men from the women. The Cove Retreat Center will hold about 80 people for overnight sleeping.

If you let us know when you register. There are a limited number of 2-person bedrooms.

Yes – please bring sheets and bedding for a twin size bed.

This is not a hotel, and it is more of a retreat atmosphere. You will need to bring a towel and personal items.

Health Information & Devices

Longevity, anti-aging, dietary, and hormonal balancing.

A ZYTO Hand Cradle scan is an easy and painless process. You just need to place your hand on the ZYTO Hand Cradle. The ZYTO Hand Cradle simply measures galvanic skin response. The scan sends subtle energetic impulses to your body and records your body’s responses. The scan helps you make better decisions about your health and wellness. That’s why ZYTO technology is referred to as wellness decision support technology.

There are no known contraindications for properly administered ZYTO GSR scans. The amount of energy used is so low that it is safe for infants, children, and adults of all ages, including people with pacemakers and pregnant women. The ZYTO software does not interact with the body and cannot cause physical harm. ZYTO hardware or software are not intended to treat or diagnose any disease or medical condition.

Ionic foot detox, also known as ionic cleanse, is a therapeutic treatment that utilizes an electrical process to create positive and negative ions in a footbath. These ions attract and neutralize oppositely charged particles, such as toxins and heavy metals. The process aims to change the polarity of cellular toxins, promoting the toxins to be moved into the lymphatic fluid. Water and movement afterwards continue to help move the lymph from the body.

Toxins are not coming through the feet into the water, even though the water changes color from electrolysis and the tannins off the feet. During an ionic foot detox session, you place your feet in a basin filled with warm clean water and add a little salt. The process takes 30 minutes. While ionic foot detox is considered safe, some individuals may experience mild side effects such as slight fatigue or a slight headache.

Probably not. The ionic detox works on a cellular level through the lymphatic system. Staying hydrated supports normal lymphatic waste removal.

The device is a GB-4000 Function Generator. It will be programmed to help harmonize and balance the 12 meridian circuits of the body. But you will be asked to hold a handle in each hand as it produces health promoting frequencies. It is not painful.

Afterwards

  • Your church or local assembly of believers is a good place to continue your discipleship. There are local groups, ministries, recovery groups, and churches that can be recommended.
  • If you would like further one-to-one sessions, there are faith-based counselors available in our area.

Yes, unless you indicate on the Exit Survey that you do not want anyone to contact you. We do care and want to check on you. And that can be by phone or email, whichever suits you.
